Steven F. Hemmerling, 58, of rural Frankfort passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on March 25, 1956 in Frankfort to Frank and Helen (Hill) Hemmerling. He married Bonnie Cleveland on June 7, 1986 in Frankfort and she survives. Steven is a 1974 graduate of Frankfort Senior High School and was a lifelong Clinton County resident. He earned his Associates Degree in Electronics from Ivy Tech. He worked for Eli Lilly in Lafayette retiring in 2010 and had currently been working for Evonik. He was an avid golfer and was an Indianapolis Colts and Pacers fan. He enjoyed home improvement and his music. He will be missed by his Dachshunds Augie and Frank. Surviving along with his wife Bonnie are his Mother: Helen Hemmerling of Frankfort; Sons: Jeremy (Michelle) Hemmerling of Fishers, Derek (Fiance Kelsie Collins) Hemmerling of Greenwood, and Cody (Companion Cynthia Barrios) Hemmerling of Frankfort; Brother: Pete (Cheryl) Hemmerling of Frankfort; Sisters: Susan Foresman of West Lafayette and Cathy Hemmerling of Frankfort; Granddaughter: Ava; Brothers and Sister-in-law: John (Kay) Cleveland, Scott Cleveland, and Barry Cleveland; and Several Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 13, 2014 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Frankfort. The family will receive friends for a Celebration of Life visitation from 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2014 at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center.
