Waverly Jo Kelley age 72 passed away May 28, 2008 in Wesley Manor Healthcare where she had been a resident since moving there in 2002.? She was born June 28, 1935 in Frankfort to Guy & Alberta (Wells) Harlan.? She was married to Everett “Wayne” Kelley on May 24, 1963 in Frankfort and he preceded her in death in April 1997.? They lived in the Hillisburg area, and Mrs. Kelley worked for P.R. Mallory&’s for 34 years and retired due to poor health.? After suffering a stroke in 1992, she still remained active and enjoyed playing bingo and card games.? You could often see her on her electric wheel chair with its bicycle flag on it, going to Walmart, the county fair, and yard sales around Frankfort.? She especially loved the Hot Dog Festival and anything that she could decorate for the occasion.? After suffering a second stroke, she moved into Wesley Manor in 2002, where she was a source of enjoyment and inspiration to many.? She attended Frankfort High School and was a graduate of the class of 1953.? She was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church, she was a former member of the Eagles Auxiliary and the Women of the Moose.? Surviving is 2 daughters: Michelle Martin (husband Tony) of Frankfort and Laurie Letsch (husband Al) of Utah.? 1 son: Douglas Leazenby of Indianapolis, 1 sister: Beverly Van Hook of Lafayette, and a brother: David Harlan of Ohio.? also surviving are 7 grandchildren: Alexandra Kelley-Leach, Misty Martin, Lyndsay Crabtree, Taylor Emmons, Colton Martin, Tony Martin Jr, and Adam Crabtree.? She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.? She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother: Max Harlan, and an infant granddaughter: Murphy Kelley-Leach.? Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday May 31, 2008 at the Amanda Reid Chapel in Wesley Manor.? Burial will follow in Whiteman Cemetery in Michigantown.? Friends may call 6-8 PM Friday at Archer-Weston Funeral Home and after 9:30 AM Saturday at Wesley Manor.? In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated to the Wesley Manor Good Samaritan Fund.?
